Brief Summary
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly limited the client’s access to, and effective communication with smallholder farmers across the country. To address this challenge, the client sought to develop a media programme.
We developed an exciting agric edutainment concept that blends field documentaries with a multi-presenter studio format aired in 30-minute episodes. Pre-production, field and studio recordings, and post-production were achieved within 12-16 weeks.
Our Process
We worked through a series of actionable steps to ensure the project was efficiently carried out and delivered promptly.
01
Stakeholder Interviews
02
Target audience research and survey
03
Show concept/format development
04
Scriptwriting
05
Field and studio production
06
Post-production and distribution
After a series of meetings with stakeholders to determine the project direction and scope, we brainstormed ideas and created scripts for the show.
We interviewed several farmers, researchers, agribusiness consultants and other relevant players in the agricultural sector to explore the key trends and identify the most pressing needs. Based on our findings, and upon alignment with the client, the show concept and content were developed.
We screened guest experts and other participants for the show. Our team then assembled the production crew and filmed all the content, also ensuring timely and excellent execution of the post-production phase.
Results
We have successfully produced 32 episodes of the Farm&Fortune TV show – 6 episodes in Season 1 and 13 episodes each in Seasons 2 and 3. The show has been broadcast to more than 50 million viewers on TV and online media platforms within and outside Nigeria.
